Muncies leak from front of tranny

The reason they leak is that the front cluster pin hole on the main case gets elongated. This is a common problem. This is caused by the way the gears are cut, causes a downward force on the cluster gear. Since the weakest point is the aluminun main case, it gives and creates a leaky spot.

The remedy is to have the case bushed. I use a steel bushing, to solve the problem and prevent future leaks. The pin to bushing is a one to two/.001 press fit.

When installing the pin, I make sure the front of the case is on a hard surface so the bushing can’t be driven out when driving the cluster pin.
